Biography Spawned from the ashes of mid-nineties black metal outfit - Dark Towers. Ethereal were formed in 2000 by Iyaan - guitars, Dayy - bass and drummer Torrn. After recruiting Sermon of Hypocrisy Vocalist – Diesektor in 2003, the band played shows with the likes of Ancient, Mithras, Abgott, Supreme Lord to name a few. This gained the band a good underground following and they received many positive reviews. In 2005, the band began recording the demo “Hells Divine Existence” a 6 track CD of extreme black metal. The CD received good reviews in Terrorizer (6/10) and various other magazines. After promoting the demo with various live shows, the band parted ways with Diesektor who was replaced by Icarus and also newly “anointed” second guitarist M-inanz. They continued to play live shows and work on material for the imminent release of Revelation Beast. In 2009 Torrn parted ways with Ethereal and was quickly replaced with the infernal blast machine – Sludge, where they held their own on the 2nd night of the Chthonic debut UK tour. 2010 saw the return of Diesektor and the recording stage of Revelation Beast at Waylands Forge Studios under the watchful eye of Jonny and Chris Maudling of Bal-Sagoth along with a number of high profile support slots with Napalm Death, Belphegor and UK festivals.
