Etánisis was created in mid-2001 with a mixture of metal with epic and progressive influences that does not disdain other genres that could enrich its proposal. Along its history, Etanisis has performed successfully in several stages in Mexico City and throughout Mexico, and in the summer of 2007, they took part in the Latin American Metal Festival in Cali, Colombia. In 2005, Etanisis launched their first album, "Relatos", that tells the story of the Caballero Astrologo (the Astrologist Knight) and its fight against the imposition of creeds. This work is based on the book titled El Caballero Astrologo, by the Argentinian Esteban Ierardo. In 2008, Etanisis introduced "El Ultimo Guerrero" (The Last knight), that tells the story of Cuauhtemoc, the last Aztec Emperor, who defended the City of Tenochtitlan from the Spanish occupation. As part of the promotional campaign for this album, the Band undertook a series of concerts throughout several Mexican cities. Now, in 2009, Etanisis is recording his third album... Wait For It!
