Esperanto Desperado ("Esperanto Malesperado") was a musical group that in 2000 released (on Vinilkosmo) its first compact disc, Jen venas … broKANTAŽJOJ. The band plays mostly self-composed songs, and a few old songs by Amplifiki. The name of the album (which was originally the name of the group) continues the tradition of pun names of Esperanto music groups. The band plays a variety of styles, mostly folk rock, and the members of the group come from various places, such as Denmark, Poland, and Bosnia — and most recently from Ghana. Members of the band for the CD "broKANTAŽJOJ" were Thomas Crowfurd, Brian Laustsen, Helle Eble Cleary, Kim J. Henriksen - Kimo and Amir "Amiro" Hadziahmetović; for the CD "Hotel Desperado", Nis Bramsen replaced drummer Thomas CROWFURD. In the last months of the band's existence, drummer-percussionist Mark Dziwormu also joined. At the 2005 IJK, it was announced that the Polish concert would be the band's farewell, and that they would later cease to exist. This report is confirmed by a paragraph on the band's website homepage. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
