ESKIMOHUNTER began in 2002 by Jason71 (lassie foundation, amnesia) as a marriage of good pop and the ever-blissful drone. Stressing a collected blanket of simple layered sound instead of complicated individual parts. The listener can hear a broad range of influences like the stacked harmonies of the Beach Boys, the symphonic electronics of ELO, and the shoegazer layered fuzz of My Bloody Valentine and Spiritualized. By weaving layered melodies with rhythm and sounds, Eskimohunter have crafted a unique brand of music. After being part of a Grand Theft Autumn Records compilation, Eskimohunter released a split album on the same label with The Coco B’s at the end of 2003. The dual issue opened at No.96 on the CMJ TOP 200 list and was the 9th most added record to indie radio the week it came out. in January 2005 is the MUSICAL SNOWGLOBE MACHNE E.P. This limited edition digipack pressing of 1000 is also an enhanced CD that features the first 6 songs + 3 videos from Eskimohunter. Autopiamusic.com already added it to their top 20 records of 2005. With music already licensed to MTV’s ROAD RULES / REAL WORLD and other independent Sundance Festival films like STUNTWOOD, Eskimohunters rise has just begun. The band is currently revamping it's lineup by adding Jenni Tarma on bass (Junior/Senior, Har Mar Superstar), John Ricarrdi on guitar, Christian McCall on drums and Darren Legallo on keyboards.
