Esiotrot, formed in late 2003/early 2004, is a seven-piece band from Brighton, UK. They have officially released one LP (Schmesiotrot) and two EPs (Esio Trot, Esiotrotsky). Although the band's line-up is always expanding, their sound is increasingly intimate, erudite and charming. They have drawn comparisons to Pavement, The Velvet Underground, Hefner, and numerous other staples of indie rock. Esiotrot has performed with Jens Lekman, Danielson, Los Campesinos!, Pants Yell! and I'm From Barcelona (among others). As of December 2008 the band's line-up is as follows: Duncan Barrett (guitar/vocals), Cat Loye (drums), Matthew Rains (guitar/vocals), Adey Fleet (bass), Thomas Stimson (keyboards/glockenspiel/percussion), John Edom (trombone) and Thomas Punton (trumpet).
