EFF! [pronounced “F” as in the sixth letter of the alphabet] is a band based out of Vermillion South Dakota. EFF! was originally formed by Randal Greene and Morgan Duffy in January 2007. The band has gone through several revisions, with changes in instrumentation, sound, and band members. EFF!'s name has also gone through a couple revisions. They were originally called Plastic Fish Kitsch, but later changed it to Escape from Fiction. Shortly before they recorded their self-released, full-length CD of music, "Laundry's Done," they decided to change their name officially to EFF! while still retaining the Escape From Fiction for various uses, such as website addresses. EFF!'s music ranges from very rock to modern folk. Piano and guitar are the main mixture for EFF's musical make-up with a dash of various other instruments and a variety of vocal ranges from the band's three members.
