There are actually two bands under the name Escalator 1) Escalator is a hungarian oldschool EBM band started in 1988. They were really succesful in the early nineties' hungarian underground, they have released five albums from 1989-1994, also on the EMI-Quint record label and Nagy Feró Produkció. After some years of silence they have released two compilations with older recordings in 2001 and 2009 and they are stil active and famous especially in the german EBM scene. 2) Escalator was a Connecticut hardcore band, featuring two former members of Ripshit. They released a 4-song demo (2009), the "Performance Anxiety" cassette (2010), and a 2 song cassette (2012).
