Artist
Solo-artist Erwin Thomas has a unique blend of folk – rock and electro. The music is greatly held together by a remarkable and very personal vocal, and accompanied by an acoustic guitar. The highly acclaimed debut album, “songs from my apartment (2005)”, gained massive attention across Europe, both in written media (eg. Intro, Uncle Sally*s, Stereo, Folker) and radio (Radio Eins, Rockland, Motor FM). The album was recorded and produced by Erwin himself. Subsequently, Erwin Thomas played the Roskilde festival and the Popkomm festival in Berlin and has supported acts such as José Gonzales, Jim Stärk, The Magic Numbers and Robert Plant. With his personal lyrics and talented song-writing, Erwin is among some of the most creative and interesting new solo artists at the moment. Recently returned from New York, Erwin will head on to Germany, supporting German act Soulounge at their forthcoming tour, before going into the studio with his newfound band “The Beaticed Wildfire”.
