Artist
ERIS PLUVIA is an Italian band known for their blend of symphonic rock with strong folk and pastoral influences. Their music incorporates progressive rock elements alongside a variety of acoustic instruments, including flute, soprano saxophone, acoustic guitar, and violin. This fusion creates a distinctive sound that is both Baroque-inspired and folk-oriented. Their style has been compared to CAMEL and ROUSSEAU, placing them firmly in the realm of melodic and symphonic progressive rock. The band performs with English vocals. Their album Rings of Earthly Light is widely regarded as one of the standout Italian symphonic rock releases of the 1990s. The record offers richly melodic progressive rock with an intricately arranged composition style. While not entirely symphonic, it carries clear orchestral influences. Fans of CAMEL, as well as those who appreciate the recent works of HOSTSONATEN and QUIDAM, will likely find much to enjoy in this album. In 1995, band members Alessandro SERRI and Edmondo ROMANO went on to establish a new project, ANCIENT VEIL.
