The Eric Tessmer Band consists of three young musicians whose high-octane performances are known for packing clubs in the band's hometown of Austin, TX . The trio combines traditional blues, rock and roll and funk influences with a modern youthful energy for a truly unique performance. Led by 24 year-old Eric Tessmer on guitar, band members include Allen Daniell, 24, on bass and Doug Day, 25, on drums. The trio is, in actuality, a foursome with 22 year-old sound engineer Russell Sowell tweaking the board on the sidelines. Eric was raised in a family of guitarists. Taking to his father's record collection at a young age, Eric developed a deep love for the blues by the time he was in his teens. Born in Wisconsin , Eric moved to Austin as soon he finished high school to pursue his love of music. Eric has played in various blues bands and backed up several gospel choirs around Texas before he and Allen started the ETB. Originally from Fritch, TX , but an Austinite of three years, Allen Daniell has played the guitar for 14 years, the bass for three years. In addition to holding down the groove for the ETB, Allen occasionally takes the lead role with his tenor vocals. Doug Day has lived in Austin for six years, but is originally from Castroville, TX. A multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, he also plays the trumpet and guitar, but these days he spends much more time behind the drum kit.
