After graduating college and spending one year as a scientist, 23-year old Eric Strom saved up his money and quit his job in order to pursue music full time. In September of 2008, Eric moved to Brooklyn, NY and began to write and record one song every day. He decided to call his songwriting challenge "Eric Strom's Daily Song" or "Daily Song" for short. Day #1 was September 2nd, 2008, and he continues to write a song every day. On Tuesday, September 30th, Day #29, Eric introduced Text Me a Tune Tuesday. Every Tuesday, continuing presently, Eric writes his Daily Song from listener-submitted lyrics. This gives Daily Song listeners the oppurtunity to participate in the songs directly. Lyrics can be submitted through a convenient submission form at the Daily Song official website by clicking the "Text me a Tune" tab. All Daily Songs are licensed to the public under creative commons license by-nc. Therefore, Daily Songs can be downloaded, redistributed, and adapted, for non-commercial purposes, and without the explicit permission of the author.
