After his episode with War in L.A. Eric Burdon made an attempt to reunify The Animals. This attempt failed and he left California to move to Hamburg, Germany in 1977, where he met Udo Lindenberg's Panik family (a.k.a. Udo Lindenberg & Das Panikorchester). Eric Burdon's Fire Dept. has been formed from Udo Lindenberg's long time musicians plus Eric Burdon as singer. Band members were: Eric Burdon - Lead vocals Jackie Carter - Vocals Frank Diez - Guitar Bernd Gärtig - Guitar and vocals Jean-Jaques Kravetz - Keyboards Reggie Worthy - Bass Bertram Engel - Drums, vocals, synthesizer, steel drums Nippy Noya - Afro percussion "The Last Drive" is the first and only studio album by Eric Burdon's Fire Dept., released in 1980.
