ER.J.ORCHESTRA was established in 1989 in Kiev (Ukraine). The present band staff, finally completed in 1992, predominantly perform music of acoustic nature based on traditions of Slavonic melos, euro-american and oriental music. While refusing the direct citing, they prefer their individual sensation or their subjective conception on "musical source" to pure authenticity. In original pieces one may follow the junction of ethnic, jazz and academic sounding . The pieces are also characterized by wide using of solo instruments, which frequently replace each other, processing the special peculiar emotional colours and shades of meaning. In other words, besides the general musical idea, the pieces possess an idea of each separate instrument which, if it can be expressed like that, "plays itself'. Most of the musical critics are inclined to characterize the general style and aesthetic orientation of ER.J.ORCHESTRA creation as WORLD MUSIC.
