Entombed is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1987, originally under the name Nihilist. The band is considered an early pioneer of Scandinavian death metal, noted for its distinctive "buzzsaw" guitar tone, which distinguished it from American death metal. By the early 1990s, their sound incorporated elements of garage rock and hard rock, a style later described as death 'n' roll. Alongside Dismember, Grave, and Unleashed, Entombed is often cited as one of the "big four" of Swedish death metal. Their debut album, "Left Hand Path" (1990), established them as a prominent Swedish death metal band, followed by "Clandestine" (1991), both featuring the characteristic buzzsaw guitar sound. During a period when Petrov was temporarily absent, Andersson performed vocals, and Johnny Dordevic joined for touring. Petrov returned, and in 1993 Entombed released "Wolverine Blues", blending death metal with hard rock and heavy metal influences, marking the death 'n' roll style. In 1998, founding drummer Nicke Andersson left the band and was replaced by Peter Stjärnvind. Subsequent albums included "Same Difference" (1998),
