Ensemble Moshtaq (گروه دف نوازان مشتاق) is an Iranian group playing traditional Persian music. The group was founded in 1988 by Reza Ghassemi in Paris, where its original members were living. Several Iranian artists residing in France or abroad later joined the ensemble. Until 1995, the year when Reza Ghassemi put an end to his musical activities for a while in order to devote his time to literature, Moshtaq gave numerous concerts throughout Europe, the United States, and the Soviet Union, with such famous singers as Mohammad Reza Shadjarian, Shahram Nazeri, Mazhar Khaleghi, Bijan Kamkar, and Homa Niknam.
