The Ensemble Al-Tanburah is an Egyptian group founded in 1989. The band has performed across Egypt, and has made numerous international festival appearances, including Music Village (the U.K.). Sauti za Busara (Zanzibar), Nile Festival (the U.K.), and Festival Mundial (The Netherlands). Their first album was released through the Paris-based Institute du Monde Arab, and they have collaborated with World music fusion act One Giant Leap on the film 2 Sides 2 Everything.
