Engrained was born in Sarstedt, Germany in the early 90's as a 3-headed hardcore band. First members were Axel Niklowitz on drums, Jens “Fenne” Fennekohl bass / vocals and Olaf “Stoffi” Krebs on guitar. The first relevant release was a 6-track CD called “Capricious” in 1992 followed by many different smaller releases and loads of appearances on samplers like on a tribute sampler for Hüsker Dü together with some bigger names of the scene and Poison Idea’s classic “Plastic Bomb” which is still part of the actual live set. For over 20 years ENGRAINED rocked a lot of stages with excellent bands like The Dickies, Peter Pan Speedrock, Gluecifer, US Bombs and many more. So today the fast, hard and straight Punk´n´Roll of ENGRAINED is not only well known in local clubs around Hannover. After a few changes of the line up the actual band members are Fenne (the one´n´only since 1992) on Vocals /bass, Schorse and Carlos on guitar and Gonkel on drums. In February 2010 they released their first EP “Anger, Roots & Rock N´Roll” which was well received by the media and the fans.
