Endless Bob Brown were a band from the Midlands (Kidderminster, Bewdley and Coseley) who played stacks of gigs in small pubs and clubs, mainly in the early 1980s. The core members were David Griffiths, Bryn Corbett, Tim Bearne and Guy Martin. They epitomised the indie sound of the day (they were definitely fans of the likes of the Smiths), but underneath the obvious indie-boy angst, lay a burgeoning love of all things musical, from Frank Sinatra to rock-a-billy to the Beach Boys, the Supremes, the Associates and Brian Eno and Kraftwerk and 60s teen pop, Ennio Morricone, Parliament and just about everything really. For all the band members, these were their days of musical discovery, when the appetite for more and the desire to "be like" was a potent energy.
