The idea of forming a banda came during a festival in summer (September 2007), the head of Bernardo Santos, Tiago Ribeiro and Carlos Rocha. To follow with their idea forward invited two friends: a drummer, Pedro "Enfia" and a guitarist, Eduardo Ribeiro. The idea picked up as soon emerged the Empty Souls in their initial training, with the singer Carlos Rocha, as guitarists and Eduardo Bernardo and as the drummer Enfia. With the need for a low to form a complete banda, James learned to play low and a month after the creation of the Empty Souls already annexed them in the trials. Due to varied musical tastes of each elements, the Empty Souls opted to choose a style mixed, alternating between punk, metal, rock and pop.
