Artist
Hungarian post-punk duo from Békéscsaba. Drawing inspiration from the Russian post-punk scene and classic goth rock bands such as Ploho, Nürnberg, Buerak, The Cure, and Bauhaus. Formed in 2021, the band sings in Hungarian, which gives the songs an exotic touch, while channeling the post-Soviet atmosphere of the ’80s and ’90s, creating a deeply nostalgic yet fresh take on the genre. The duo has been actively performing across Hungary and neighbouring countries, appearing at various events, including Fekete Zaj Festival — Hungary’s premier underground festival. The duo combines coldness and loneliness with the stylish sound of russian post-punk. Their songs tell about living in the post-Soviet space with all its features: panel buildings, brainwashing TV and oppressive routine. The band reveals and romanticizes the world of a regular person living in the next flat. Unremarkable life here gets vivid images with melancholic shadow full of nostalgia for the 80s and 90s.
