Emotronica is a four-man electronica/synth pop/ambient/alternative rock/indie/Rock en español band formed in Guayaquil, Ecuador in 2006. Members include Pablo Baquerizo (vocals and guitar), Gustavo Muñoz (bass and choirs), Giancarlo Colombo (guitar), and Javi Velasquez (drums and sampling). In 2009, Javi left the band and Jaime León took his place in the drums. The band’s name comes from "electrónica" and "emoción". This is said to be mostly due to digital audio processing and equalization effects found on most of the released tracks, done by Pablo himself, and emotional, social and romantic themes mainly found in their lyrics. Emotronica has released two albums to date: "En tu Piel" (Within your skin), and "El espacio entre nosotros" (The space between us).
