Emilia Markova is a Bulgarian singer, one of the founders of Bulgarian vocal jazz and pop music interpretations in the 1960s and 1970s. She was born in Sofia, Bulgaria on December 28, 1942. She graduated from the first vocal class at the studios of Radio Sofia in 1964. Her debut is related to Studio 5 and EFBR (Bulgarian Band and Broadcast Orchestra). From 1965 to 1971 she was a soloist of the Estrada at the BNA. During this period, she collaborated with Kiril Donchev for film music recordings and music for theatrical performances.
