Artist
Emerson B. Ocampo is an arranger, singer-songwriter, and producer. A self-taught musician on guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard, and has been penning songs since he first learned 3 guitar chords. He developed his skill by listening to artists of various genres from classical to rock, continuing to involve in live worship music for more than 26 years, and doing some musical arranging for indie local artists. Born in Baguio City, the Philippines his interest in music started in high school. With limited resources, he's scraped for ideas, experimented, and taught himself to sufficiently read and write music. He strives to continue to refine his musical skills, and with doing so writes songs that he feels matter most, eliminating themes that are too focused on churched people; and songs that are too brain-numbingly mainstream. His music can be a soothing piano instrumental, electronic, to an angsty rock song. Vocally influenced by artists like Michael W. Smith, Micheal Sweet, Dan Haseltine, and many 90s bands his voice is leaned towards folk-rock, or pop-rock, but he loves reggae too. Surviving a heart attack back in 2018, he has recovered quite well and enjoys the company of friends, his kids, and his wife. Recently, he's been included in Madhouse Music Label.
