1) Emer was a d.i.y. punk band from Erechim, RS, extreme south of Brazil. They were active from 2004 to 2007. Their classic line up was Gio and Rafa on the guitars, Julio on the drums, Nora on the bass and Gui on the vocal, sharing duties with Rafa. Their music is a emotionaly charged straight forward melodic punk rock with great political and personal lyrics. At the time they were active they were compared with other punk rock acts such as garage fuzz, hot water music, face to face, among others. In early 2007 Rafa left the band and moved to Porto Alegre to attend the design college. The band kept playing together as a four piece with Gui, besides singing, doing Rafa's guitar parts as well. Less than a year before Rafa's departure the band broke up. The only Emer's output was a self-released and self-titled 7 song cd-r demo which was recorded entirely at Gui's basement by Rafa's brother, Diego W.P., known by his hardcore act my soundtracked life. The demo was mixed and mastered by Diego and Teago Bazani (which also used to play in my soundtracked life). _ after Emer: Rafa is now playing bass in the hardcore band Campbell Trio. Gui and Nora went to form the soft-rock band Noor. Gio and Julio currently play in a unamed yet hardcore band. _ quotes: One of the Emer's early members was Niper from the pop/rock group Pull Down.
