Emanuele Barbella (Naples , April 14 1718 - Naples , 1 January 1777) was an Italian composer, violinist and teacher. He received the rudiments of violin from his father, a violinist and violin teacher at the Conservatorio di Santa Maria di Loreto and subsequently deepened with the instrument Zaga Angelo and Pasquale Bini , a pupil of Giuseppe Tartini . At the same time he began the study of music theory and composition with Michael Caballone , with whom he studied until his death in 1740. Starting from this year until 1744 he continued his studies with Leonardo Leo . In 1753 he was the first violin at the Teatro Nuovo in Naples since 1761 and until his death component of the orchestra of the Teatro San Carlo . During the sixties probably taken a trip to England .
