His extraordinary talent is uniquely expressed in a breath of works that range from his debut recording, Think of One, to classical music scores, to his heaven inspired Eternal. Sure, one could say that Branford's works reflect, in part, his grand appreciations for the legends. Sometimes one can hear a slice of John Coltrane, Arnette Coleman, Ben Webster, Dewey Redman, and Wayne Shorter. Yet Branford's musical signatures go beyond a place that neither his early influencers or contemporaries can reach. These signatures combine brilliant tone and lyricism. Both integrate his sensitivities, romantics, intellect and ...muses. Both takes one's soul to into unlimited space. Spend some time listening to him -- you will never confuse anyone else with him. Quietly listen, and one will literally hear genius. Branford's works are prolific. His range of work includes jazz, European classical, British pop, new Orleans / Euro funk, soul, and much more.
