Ellie Dixon, born Eleanor Charlotte Siobhan Dixon, is an English musician and songwriter from Foxton, Cambridgeshire. Known for her distinctive blend of alt-pop and indie pop, Dixon's music often incorporates unconventional instrumentation, using everyday objects like mugs, stationery, and kitchen equipment as part of her soundscapes. After completing her studies in mathematics at the University of Warwick, Dixon pursued music more seriously, releasing a series of EPs during her summers, including Looking Forward, Jungle, and Growing Pains. With the onset of the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, Dixon turned to social media to share her musical creations, gaining recognition for her deconstruction of popular song harmonies and her original verses. This digital presence helped her build a dedicated following, leading to the release of her EP Crikey! It's My Psyche in 2021. In 2022, Dixon signed with Decca Records, where she released several singles, including the viral hit "Swing!" and Big Lizard Energy.
