Ellen Shipley born March 24, 1949 in New York, is an American musician and songwriter. Ellen was a Recording Artist from 1979 to1983. During that period she released the albums "Ellen Shipley" (1979), "Breaking Through The Ice Age "(1980) and "Call Of The Wild" (1983). The song "I Come Undone" from the "Call Of The Wild" album was later covered by Jennifer Rush in 1987. As a songwriter, Ellen Shipley is best known for her collaborations with some of Pop Music's finest songwriters which resulted in Ellen's popularity and success with both critics and music audiences throughout her professional career. A nominated Grammy Award Winning songwriter and artist, Ellen's collaboration with fellow songwriter, Rick Nowels, brought her early international recognition as one of the top hit songwriters in 1987 when "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" (written for Belinda Carlisle) skyrocketed to a Number One song throughout the world. Together they have worked on Belinda Carlisle's albums "Heaven On Earth," (1987), "Runaway Horses" (1989), ""Live Your Life Be Free" (1991) and "A Woman & A Man" (1996) crafting the number one hit "Heaven Is A Place On Earth", as well as the hit songs "Circle In The Sand", "Leave A Light On", "La Luna", "Runaway Horses", "(We Want) The Same Thing", "Live Your Life Be Free", "Do You Feel Like I Feel?", amongst many others. They have also written hit songs, for Kim Wilde (Love Is Holy), N'SYNC (I Drive Myself Crazy) and Anita Baker (Body And Soul). Ellen song
