Elisabeth Hübert (*16. September 1987 in Leninabad) is a German Musical actress. Her voice type is Mezzo-Soprano. She currently plays Jane in the Disney Musical "Tarzan" at the Theater Neue Flora in Hamburg after winning the role in the casting show "Ich Tarzan, Du Jane!" (Sat. 1) in 2008. Elisabeth Hübert had been taking classical singing lessons from Angelika Schlägel since 1993. Her first roles included singing with the children's choir at the Stadttheater Lübeck in the operas La Bohème and Cavallera rusticana in 1999. She also had a part in "Blutshochzeit". Hübert's theatrical aspirations were followed by appearances in German tv series "Großstadtrevier" and "Aus gutem Haus". She began her vocational education at the Stage School Hamburg in the subjects Classical Music, Musical and Pop in 2004 and completed her studies in 2007 as stage actress with diploma. Hübert's first lead role was awarded to her in 2005 when she played the part of Gerda in the musical Das Eiskalte Herz which was followed by the role of Sophie in Mamma Mia! (2007) which she performed for six months in Hamburg and one year in Berlin. Elisabeth Hüber came to wider public attention in 2008 when she and fellow musical actor Anton Zetterholm won the lead roles for the then up-and-coming new musical "Tarzan" the Sat. 1 casting-show "Ich Tarzan, du Jane!".
