"Musical Ambidexterity, a trait rare to find in a singer/songwriter these days. From lyrical collaborations to becoming the front man of a hardcore band to soulful melodies and guest appearances and finally his solo acoustic project and its vision, it seems Elia has a flare for all aspects of music and its creation. All beginning in a small house in a small town in southern Georgia, he began learning guitar and shaping the sound you hear today. It has grown and matured much like the man himself. These songs, lyrically driven and with a sense of desperation and innocence, are an extension of himself. Influenced by bands artists such as John Lennon, Elliott Smith, George Harrison, and Jeff Buckley. Influenced by everyday life and the events that unfold within it. His music reaches out and speaks to someone, to anyone, with cryptic lyrics it allows the listener to translate and receive their own meaning. It’s this open-endedness that makes Elia Mantius so acceptable. With the slew of new musicians flooding the internet Elia Mantius is unafraid to formulate his own sound. With intellectual lyrics and dark and moody guitar rhythms he writes emotion into his parts. With attention to detail he separates himself from 'normal' music, all the while retaining that familiar feeling. A mixture rarely seen in his genre to date. With spoken word, odd and eerie noises, layered guitar and vocals, abstract sounds from a multitude of instruments. The sound of Elia Mantius is a unique singul
