Eli Porter (also known as E-Dolla) is one of the hottest young freestyle rappers in the game and widely recognized as one of the best MC's to ever "do it." He rose to fame as a result of his brief, nerve-racking appearance on Iron Mic (a freestyle rap/music program produced by Chamblee High School students). The footage shows Eli and his opponent Envy exchanging their verses on stage. Ultimately Eli ended up losing to Envy in a controversial 2-1 decision. However, Eli’s stunned expressions, killer lines (his trademark “I’m the best mayne- I deed it” has earned him worldwide recognition) and arguably the longest pause in the history of freestyle battles cemented his legacy. Despite losing the battle, many still regard Porter as one of the top 5 up-and-coming MCs. He has since returned to the studio, releasing several rough demos with a mixtape to come sometime in the near future.
