Elfsquad is a DIY indie-rock project led by Omaha, NE songwriter E. Foo. Drawing influence from lo-fi punk acts such as Jay Reatard, Wavves, and Japanther, Elfsquad's music generally showcases thrashy guitars, accompanied with a drum machine and wailing vocals. He also notes that many of the songs are written impromptu and recorded on the spot, making them difficult to recreate onstage. In July of 2013 Elfsquad released an EP online, which included a few random home-recordings and outtakes.
