Elements of Style -------------------- Iver Hillman - Vocals/Guitar/Keys Tom Casper - Vocals/Guitar Jeff Paulus - Bass Seth Dougherty - Drums A powerful pop foursome from Wisconsin, Elements of Style is a breath of fresh air in the crowd of repetitive modern music. Combining 60's pop sounds with funk grooves and an alternative-rock feel, the band presents music that is just as original as it is enjoyable. Originaly starting in 2001, the band went through a slew of member changes, with only Iver and Seth being part of the original group. The final lineup was solidified in 2004 with the addition of bassist Jeff Paulus and guitarist/vocalist Tom Casper, and later that year recording began on their self-titled LP. Recorded and mixed at a local studio and mastered by Trevor Sadler at Mastermind Studios, their album catches all of the energy and excitement of the band. Since the initial release of the album, the band has matured their sound and have progressed greatly as both musicians and songwriters. Playing with such acts as Maritime (ex. Promise Ring/Dismemberment Plan), Ivory, and The Spill Canvas, the band has also gained somewhat of a following from the indie-rock crowd. After spending the past summer playing around the midwest, the band is preparing to re-enter the studio this January to record their new album.
