Electronic Kili, whose original name is Stephin Jose was born in Idukki, a place where nature quietly shapes rhythm and tone. His earliest connection with music came during his school years, when he began playing the piano in church. Those moments of live performance, surrounded by stillness and devotion, played a crucial role in shaping his sense of melody and emotional pacing. Unlike many musicians who pursue music from the start, his path took a practical turn before circling back to passion. He completed his B.Tech, only to later follow his calling to music by joining KM Music Conservatory, Chennai. It was here that he began working deeply on himself not just technically, but creatively learning how to translate emotion into structured composition and how film music functions as a storytelling tool. His entry into the film industry came in 2022, when he started working alongside composer Ankit Menon. Through this collaboration, he gained hands-on exposure to film scores and production workflows. These early years were less about recognition and more about learning understanding how music supports narrative, character and mood. While he had earlier worked on Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys as a music producer, his true arrival as a composer came with Thalavara, which marked his full debut as a music director.
