It is mostly a solo project for Matt Beat, but his brother, Steven Beat, also helps with percussion. DL Diedrich and Bryan Poole helped the band with live performances in Omaha, Nebraska, from 2007 to 2009. The band has released seven full-length albums, three EPs, and two split EPs since its inception. Between 2009 and 2013, Matt completed a collection of songs that commemorated the 43 Presidents of the United States of America. He released the first volume on Presidents Day 2011, the second volume on Presidents Day 2012, and the third volume on Presidents Day 2013. That same year, Chris Huggard and Elijah Ringler temporarily joined the band for live performances. Their seventh full-length album, "It's Getting Personal," was released in January 2014. Their first split EP with The Worsh Ahts, entitled "Uplifting Songs for the Downtrodden Heart," was released in August that same year. Their second split EP with DL Diedrich, entitled "We're 3.5 Years Ahead of Our Time," was released February 6th, 2015. Their latest EP, "Pitchfork Won't Review This," came January 12, 2018. The band released a children's album, "Just Kidding Around," on October 7, 2019. The album featured Matt's daughters on vocals and as co-songwriters.
