Artist
Elaine Nolan She is an artist hailing from Co Laois, Ireland. She is a classically trained musician and singer, as well as an award-winning author; she is also a pianist and plays the classical guitar and is learning the viola. Nolan was also a prima cellist with the Celbridge Concert Orchestra, and has appeared with the Carlow Youth Orchestra and the Kildare County Orchestra. She has sung as soprano and tenor with the Carlow Choral Society, the Wexford Festival Singers and the Celtic Philharmonic Choir and recorded four albums as a member of the Irish Philharmonic Choir and performed with the group at Carnegie Hall. As a songwriter, she is daring enough to blend her classical and Celtic influences with electronic sounds (Cel-Techno), a feat that would be difficult for most musicians to do effectively. Nolan, however, pulls it off with her usual elegance and grace. She performed her debut work "Non Nobis", a 3-part soprano work in April 2011, followed by her concert debut in September 2012 and most recently "A Rebel's Heart", a 1916 commemoration concert as part of the Kildare County Council commemoration. Her latest book is ReCrossed, the sequel to the crime thriller Crossing Lives (2017), with the soundtrack released on Spotify and iTunes. In 2018 she released "To Sleep Beneath The Stars" which is an album of earthy and elegant meditation music that is smooth and compelling.
