Hip Hop artist from Logan Square area of Chicago...Managed by Chilom Ent...... Born on a cold December day in a Humbolt Park hospital- Grizzly (or Grizz as he’s known to his homeyz) has had a very hard upbringing and this pain can be reflected through the lyrics. He is the 2nd child born to Mexican immigrants or “Mojados” as they were known to “Americans.” His parents were in a relationship that had its ups and downs. Grizz’s father worked in a metal plating factory to provide for all of his 7 kids. The pressure of raisin his 7 kids might have gotten to him because he began drinking and would be away from home for up to 3 dayz at a time. His mother out of frustration would cry & would, “Whoop” her children. This went on in Grizz’s life well into he was 10 or 11. But that didn’t mean she didn’t love them, because she certainly did. Grizz can be called a Chicagoan for real – see he grew up all over Chicago- from the South Side to the North Side – to the West Side to where he came up – Logan Square. His getaway would be listening to music – everything from “ Rancheras” to Hip-Hop. He remembers listening to a Friday night radio show that played nothing but hip-hop all night. He used to record the songs and listen to the tape & memorize the songs so he can rap along with it. One day in his 6th grade class he remembers listening to 2 of his classmates going back and forth rapping & the song they were doing was “Comptons in tha House” by NWA.
