Before turning to music, José Angel planned to become a professional baseball player, which led him constantly to Mazatlan, capital of the great bands Sinaloa, where little by little his friends called him El Coyote de Coyotitán, than simply just El Coyote. In 1989, he made his professional debut with La Original Banda El Limón de Salvador Lizarraga, leaving aside for the moment, their sporting dreams. The music became his priority, to be part, at 19 years of age, the first generation of vocalists band. Imposing his own style and natural texture of vocals, EL COYOTE was also part of the Coastal Band of Ramón López Alvarado and Banda Los Recoditos, in total recorded four albums as a vocalist of these groups; for this then it was copied by other performers.
