What is EKEN IS DEAD you ask? EID stands for taking the next step in your life; It’s conquering your old dreams and moving on to new. It’s killing off what you once believed in and fighting for what matters to you now. Started in a garage in 2003, Vic Arevalo formed the band then known as Eken. A word that essentially meant nothing, but stood for everything Vic believed in. Eken was an untainted pure creation and the first venture into the battlefields of the Los Angeles music scene. The formative years were tough and the battles fought changed the face and lineup of what Eken could no longer be. Only with the additions of Jack Espinoza (drums), Chris Navarrete (vocals), and Gagg Green (bass), was the machine strong enough to take on what was next... EKEN IS DEAD (say it like wreck, not eek) is a Los Angeles, CA based four-piece hard rock alternative/metal act. Since it's inception of 2008, EKEN IS DEAD has been on a mission of domination. In just three years, EID has earned a well deserved reputation based on professionalism and commitment to excellence.
