Ekansh is an Indian experimental ambient music project created by musician, producer, and guitarist Ekansh Sharma. The project focuses on dark ambient, vaporwave, and experimental electronic soundscapes characterized by atmospheric textures, minimal structures, and nostalgic themes. Ekansh began producing music in 2019, initially creating lo-fi hip hop tracks released online under the alias Wood. Over time, the project evolved toward vaporwave and eventually ambient and experimental electronic music. The transition reflected a shift toward slower compositions, immersive sound design, and emotionally minimal arrangements. Since 2023, Ekansh has released multiple independent albums and EPs exploring themes such as memory, liminality, isolation, and internet-era nostalgia. Releases include Nightmare, Echoes of the Past, Silent Hill, Desolate, Backrooms, Drowsy Pt. 1, Drowsy Pt. 2, and Blood Moon. Some known tracks from the project include Waiting Room, It Does Not Exist Anymore, Dark Is the Night, and Second Plateau.
