Éimear started playing the violin at the age of seven in her native Belfast. After completing her music degree she moved to the North West of England to develop her career both as a teacher and as a performer/writer. In a short space of time, Éimear has built a solid reputation as a brilliant fiddle player following regular appearances with top folk/country band The Bogtrotters. This has led to performances throughout the UK, as well as Germany and Holland. Eimear has also guested live with Liverpool band Amsterdam and played on folk artist Anthony John Clarke's latest album. She also guested on the newest album from Iona ac Andy of which Maartin Allcock was the producer. As well as credited session work on films including the soundtrack to the new Bob The Builder movie 'Built To Be Wild', Éimear made an appearance playing the fiddle in Demi Moore's latest movie; the supernatural thriller 'Half Light'. Éimear has remained true to her Irish roots and her first solo CD in 2004 'Under The Jewelled Sky' was a collection of celtic influenced instrumentals and received many great reviews from BBC and other folk radio stations in Ireland and the UK, and resulted in radio interviews about her music. After two hectic years concentrating on live work with The Bogtrotters and other session work, late in 2006 Éimear decided to concentrate on combining her violin, whistle and keyboard playing with her songwriting and vocal talents, the fruits of which can be heard on her forthcoming
