Eighth Deadly Sin (EDS) are a 5 piece Post-Hardcore/Rock band from Essex, London, UK formed in 2008. Since 2013, the band has reformed with Alex being the only original member of the band, and has changed it's musical direction with the band having a new focus on 2014. The band has played hundreds of shows up and down the UK, supporting some of the big upcoming artists in the rock scene, as well as playing several music festivals in the UK. The new EDS was re-started by Alex, who enlisted the help of Chris on guitars. Laurie was added to the line up in 2012, with Bethany (ex-One Final Stitch) and Ben (ex-Padme) completing the final line up in 2013. Whilst the band's core influences and sound stems from Classic Rock influences from Alex and Chris; Beth, Ben and Laurie have strong Post-Hardcore and Metal influences which lace the genre into a unique sound and style. The band started 2014 with a sold out Essex show in January, with write ups in the local media, and have co-presented Saint FM's local Essex sound as well as interviews with Saint FM and Pheonix FM. EDS have just completed their debut EP "INVIDIA" which is due to be released in February 2014.
