Eiforia was founded in Maardu in the summer of 1996 (originally as Эйфория) by Vitaly Malev, the vocalist, guitarist and the main songwriter. He has been the only constant member from the very beginning. Their music can be characterized both as grunge / thrash metal with melodic elements and lyrical ballads in acoustics with deep text meanings. The band has released three albums so far: “Аффект”, “Сомати” and “За Гранью Геометрии Смысла” in 2002, 2004 and 2008 respectively. Some time ago, Vitaly split the band into two: Eiforia and Maitreya (acoustics), often with different line-ups at live shows.
