Efi Thodi (Έφη Θώδη in greek) is a hardcore folk singer from Karditsa, Greece. She is best known for her smash hits "Γλύκα γλύκα" ("Sweetness sweetness"), "Είσαι νινί ακόμα" ("You're still a baby"), and "Πού να 'ναι τέτοια ώρα η αγάπη μου" ("Where could my love be at this hour?"). She has also covered successfully traditional folklore songs such as "Στου παιδιού μου τη χαρά έσφαξα έναν κόκορα" ("On my child's happiest time, I slaughtered a rooster"). In 2006 she enjoyed tremendous success when she covered Gloria Gaynor's "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" (renamed "I Love You Baby") and Rafaella Carrà's "A Far L' amore Comincia Tu". She is constantly gathering media attention not only because of her innovative songs but also due to her radical stances towards important matters of the music industry in Greece. Her music is a mixture of national folklore, folk and modern laika but she has also been heavily remixed by famous greek DJs, thus creating dozens of dance mixes that receive huge airplay in Greek clubs.
