The band was born in september 2008 by Alex’s idea, formerly under the name Aging of Soul, with the goal of merging six different musical instruments (drums,bass, 2 guitars, male and female voices) and various genres, from gothic to metalcore. After recruiting a drummer and a guitar player, the band starts composing. In march 2009, Goya (bass) joins the band while the former drummer and the guitarist resign from Aging of Soul to follow another musical project. By september 2009 a male singer, Macchio, and his versatile scream/growl technique joins the band, soon followed by Frank who soon starts a major refix of the band’s songs and composing new tracks. At the same time, the band changes his name in Effrenata Dementia, and the original logo is created by Macchio. The quest for a drummer is a long and difficult one: Simone, young but very talented joins the band. At last, in febbruary 2010 Luke brings a new guitar impulse with his fast and powerful playing to the band. March 2010 sees the first recording, an EP of the first tracks from the band.
