EESHAAN, is a progressive nu-age rock band, singing in Bangla. Our music is an experimental blend of nu-age rock sound, progressive arrangements and melodious singing. The lyrics range from introspective to social-talking about the self, the 1971 war, also about the unprivileged children of sex-workers. About Us:- Formed in 2000, the quintet has been in close touch with the audience, especially the college goers. We have performed at many college festivals -S.I.T - Siliguri, B.I.E.T - Suri, 6.C.T.S - Asansol, B.E. - Shibpur, Kalyani University, Scottish Church College, AAanindra Chandra College, City College(All 3), Ashutosh College, Calcutta University... to name a few. We have also played in gigs organized by various Event Managements, Media Houses, Clubs, Offices, Puja Committees etc. We organized a promo show at Salt Lake in 2001 for more press-interaction. Apart from Kolkata we have reached the people at places like Bankura, Krishnanangar, Howrah, Bongaon, Shiuri, Chunchura, Kalyani, Asansol, Durgapur, Malda, Siliguri, Tchnoindia Groups etc. Achievements:- Out of 40 odd bands from all over Bengal, EESHAAN bagged the 'best band1 award at the 'Plug-n-Play1 concert in 2001, reaching to a 3500+ crowd straightaway. Later in 2002, EESHAAN toured West Bengal with the ETV Bangla crew performing at 5 districts over West Bengal with live coverage of the event, EESHAAN has been featured and covered on leading dailies, TV channels, FM stations all over Bengal.
