Artist
Edgar Breau is a Canadian singer/songwriter and founder of the legendary psyche/punk band Simply Saucer. Simply Saucer's posthumously released album Cyborgs Revisited, received world-wide critical acclaim. Recorded at Dan and Bob Lanois's basement studio in 1974/75, Cyborgs Revisited combined the art rock of the Velvet Underground, with the Syd Barrett era Floyd's angular psyche improvisations on a bed of Stooges raw guitar wailings. Recently the band reconvened to record a new CD called Half Human Half Live and to perform live in New York, Detroit, Montreal and the Terrastock Fesival in Louisville Ky. Edgar's first solo album, Canadian Primitive, was released in 2004 to a warm critical reception and featured a more folk rock oriented sound with nods to literary influences like W.B.Yeats, Edith Sitwell and Hillaire Belloc. His new album is called Patches of Blue and is due out in 2009. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
