Echoes from Airplanes was officially formed early summer of 2009 when original band members Josh Bach (lead guitar, backup vocals), Peterson Muntzel (rhythm guitar, lead vocals) and Kraig LaRosh (bass, backup vocals) had Daniel Heidtbrink try out for drums. The summer was spent working on new songs until the members decided they were ready to start playing live. Their debut album titled "Echoes from Airplanes - EP" held two of their radio friendly songs "Indieanna" and "Savior", the former song of which has been played on 96.5 the Buzz's Homegrown Buzz on Sunday evenings. Echoes' members have mentioned more than once that their main influences collectively as a band come from that of "Jimmy Eat World, The Get Up Kids, Foo Fighters and The Appleseed Cast". Individually, the band's members have mentioned band's such as "The New Amsterdams, Superdrag, Death Cab for Cutie, Brand New, The Beatles, Snow Patrol, Yellowcard and many more..." as their main influences for the band's sound. To this day, EFA is still breaking in
