ECFONETICA began in 2014 with a meeting between musicians and composers Stefano Calandrelli (organist) and Walter Possieri (guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, sound technician). Stefano's musical training is purely classical, having studied and graduated in piano, organ and composition, and he not only works in both teaching and choral conducting, but also live organ performances both as a soloist and as a guide. Walter taught himself guitar, drums, bass and piano, and he has since come to most connect with indie/alternative rock genres, as well as noise and experimental styles, even releasing three solo albums and an EP. The pair came together and self-produced the first Ecfonetica album in 2015, `Voci', a soundtrack for a theatrical show. In the early months of 2018 the project expanded for the purposes of live activity, introducing drummer/percussionist Mauro Masi. Already a drummer in the Black Finger Jazz Band and a percussionist in the medieval music group `Le Muse del Diavolo', the self-taught musician formed various master classes of rock drumming, funk and jazz workshops, and well as accomplishing the 8th degree (LCM Drum Kit) distinction at London College Music in London. It is this line-up that now properly forms Ecfonetica, and the trio delivered a live EP `Vivo' in 2018. Ecfonetica's approach is purely instrumental, a combination of indie/alternative rock, classical and progressive styles that bridge both modern and vintage approaches. Some pieces are exclusivel
