There is more than one artist with this name. 1) Dutch multicultural ensemble which produces a musical style which can be described as a mix of western poptradition and percussion based world music. Members: Tanar Çatalpınar, Michel Banabila, Willem Cramer, Alex Eind, Oscar P. Swamp. Their album 'Hoy Babo Hoy' (1991 / Silenz Records) was produced by Robert Musso. 2) San Pedro's own favorite son Mike Watt ( Minutemen, Firehose, Dos,The Stooges, The Secondmen etc. ) the man who has taken the bass guitar where no man has taken it before, teams with New York veteran drummer / experimentalist Tom Surgal ( White Out, Thurston Moore, The Blue Humans, Arthur Doyle etc ) to premiere their new project East Meets West, an exploration into the infinite possibilities of the eternal rhythm.
